What is it? Your cumulative and term grade point averages are at least 2.0. If you were once on Probation or Enrollment Withheld and you raise your grade point average to at least 2.0, then you will be Restored to Good Standing. For a more detailed explanation, please refer to the Bulletin.
What is it? Your cumulative and/or term grade point averages are below 2.0, but your honor point deficit (see chart below) is not significant enough to warrant Enrollment Withheld. You are automatically placed on Enrollment Withheld after your third term on Probation (and for any subsequent terms on Probation). For a more detailed explanation, please refer to the Bulletin.
What does it mean? Probation is a warning and should not be taken lightly — you need to improve your academic performance if you wish to continue in the College. Your program and cumulative GPA must be at least 2.0 in order to graduate. In addition, you cannot declare a program if you are on Probation or Enrollment Withheld.
What is it? You have at least a ten (10) honor point deficit (see chart) for your term or cumulative record, or you have been placed on Probation for the third or greater time. If you are placed on Enrollment Withheld, then you must petition the Scholastic Standing Committee for reinstatement. Reinstatement is not automatic and depends on your situation and your ability to demonstrate that it is in your best interest to return to the College. In addition, if you are reinstated, you will not be able to pre-register for subsequent terms unless you can prove that your performance to date meets your reinstatement conditions. For a more detailed explanation, please refer to the Bulletin.
After your second Enrollment Withheld, you must take leave from the College for the next full term (not including Spring and Summer half-terms). If you have adequately addressed the issues that led to your earlier performance, you may be reinstated for a terminal term in the College. If you do not meet the conditions of this reinstatement, you will be dismissed from the College. Again, for more details, please refer to the Bulletin.
What does it mean? Your academic situation is dire, and you are in jeopardy of being dismissed from the College. You must address the factors that led to your performance in order to be reinstated by the Scholastic Standing Committee.
